Your reasoning is solid. I retired at 58 and am loving every minute of it. I don’t know how I ever had time to work. Don’t listen to the naysayers who think your brains will slide out of your ears the second you’re not getting ordered around by some overpaid manager. Retirement is not boring or debilitating as long as you have imagination, intrinsic motivation, and joy.
