You mentioned your gratitude for the choices made by your children’s birth mothers. That is a lovely sentiment. I do wonder though what this may feel like in the future when birth mothers are not allowed any choice and are forced through an untenable, emotionally fraught and physically dangerous situation. When they’re no longer considered the generous giver of the ultimate gift but a hapless victim of terrible circumstances forced to give birth against their will and wishes.
