You HAVE to see them live! They are on fire. I’ve seen them at least 11 times, more often than not on the rail. Have you watched Okonokos, the concert film they did while touring in support of Z? It so good!. I love Z and I think objectively it’s their best album. But I am a sentimental Tennessee Fire/At Dawn girl at heart. I learned to play guitar on those songs.
They always change up their set lists on tour but the Chicago run (Nov. 4, 5, and 6) was a real treat. They had no repeats on their set lists, lots of rarities—I about died when they played I Think I’m Going to Hell—and a good cross section of all of their albums. The shows were 2.5 hours long.
