The Cure’s Wish album is one of the most sorely underrated ever. Friday I’m in Love seems to be all anyone knows of it, and that happy-go-lucky pop tune is easily the weakest part of what is otherwise a deep and emotionally devastating album on par with Disintegration. Robert Smith ripped his own heart out to create Wish. Give it a few thorough listens. You won’t be disappointed.
