Thank you! I’m bored with the Beatles rehashing, Nirvana worship, GnR love, and the deification of VH, Zep, and The Stones. When I wrote about retiring some of these ancient rock chestnuts I had a lot of good responses—but also quite a few middle aged men soapboxing at me about how “classics are classics for a REASON.” None of them grasp that the “reason” is their own fossilized-in-high-school musical “taste” and their stubborn refusal to listen to anything new. Of course it’s always the same people still worshiping geriatric cock rock, hair metal, and grunge who whine that “there is no good new music.”
