I’m tired of everyone writing “fast forward six years to…” or “flash forward to today…” like they think they’re directing a movie montage. It wouldn’t bother me except every single Medium writer seems to be laboring under the delusion that they are required to use this entirely unnecessary word pairing to jump forward when they could just say “six years later” or “now” or “today.”
