I’m in my 4th year of OMAD and have maintained a 40 lb weight loss (despite menopause and hypothyroidism) this entire time. It is flexible to accommodate social events and doesn’t require perfect compliance, only relative consistency. It corrected my appetite, making it very easy to continue without requiring willpower.
When you’re younger, it is much easier to lose a small amount of weight (like 15 lbs) just by adjusting food choices and exercising more. As you age this may become increasingly ineffective. That was my experience and how I ended up packing on an excess 40 lbs despite my daily walks and healthy home cooking. OMAD has improved my health in ways I never imagined, like better quality sleep and stopping rheumatoid arthritis in its tracks.
Don’t spread baseless assumptions about an eating pattern that actually works beautifully for some of us. You say you’ve talked to people it works for, why not listen to them? Fine if it’s not for you but don’t just dismiss it as impossible. For me, it’s easy and effective.
