If by “dead” you mean “no longer mainstream” then I agree. But there are both established and newer rock bands that absolutely rip, especially in the psyche rock genre. Rock radio died from drinking its own piss e.g. playing the same 47 hits from the ‘70s and ‘80s on endless repeat.
