I used to write at the coffee shop when my kids were smaller. They, and my spouse, would interrupt me far more often than any coffee shop patron would ever dream of. I never cared about “being seen” but there are some writers who might. Now my kids are adults and my spouse is retired (and keeps the coffee flowing). In any case, it hurts my aging body to sit on a Spartan coffee shop chair for more than 30 minutes.
And yes, all of their electrical outlets are soggy, sad and oversubscribed.
