I read much more than I write here, and have been a paying member for a few years. Recently, Medium has been serving me the same stories over and over and over. It’s as if no matter how little a headline interests me, they’re going to put it in my feed every day for weeks on end. I even updated my preferences and it still didn’t improve. And fresh headlines? Forget it.

Medium didn’t used to do this repetitive crap. It used to give me all new headlines every day.

I’ve had to refollow my favorite writers multiple times even though I’ve never unfollowed them in the first place. Why would Medium purge my follows?

I don’t have any answers. I’m just validating that Medium has changed some things so it’s less enjoyable for readers and less beneficial writers. Sure, it’s their platform but We’re paying to be here and you’re providing the content (which you may or may not get paid for). We all deserve better.
