I love this idea. I always take my WIPs on vacation with me, but the idea of a getaway focused solely on my current, elusive novel is really appealing.

I’ve found that using my Alphasmart Neo is great for distraction-free drafting. It’s a keyboard with only an LED candy bar size screen. No internet connectivity. Perfect for moving forward on a first draft, nearly indestructible and 3 AA batteries last in it for years. Text is easily exported to a computer word processor when I’m ready to edit.
