I listen to a lot of great newer rock but none of it is on the radio, television or other “mainstream” outlets. Spotify’s algorithm is what typically introduces me to new music, followed by recommendations from music loving friends. There are some real gems out there but you’ll never find them if you’re waiting for radio, television or magazines to serve them up. You won’t discover them in the CD bins at Fye or on the digital jukebox at the bar. If you can’t find worthwhile new rock, try looking a little harder. It’s out there, I promise.
