I just retired from a long career in product marketing and these demands for feedback are my longstanding pet peeve. The company already has my money, and now they act like I owe them free marketing labor in the form of filling out some stupid survey. Currently, I’m being nagged by a hospital about a recent ER visit. It’s insidious.
Only my grocer surveys in an acceptable way: a single, yes/no question at the end of the checkout process like “We’re you greeted on arrival?” or “Was the store clean?” It’s quick and unobtrusive. Everybody else can take their “Tell us how we did!” questionnaires and pound sand.
