I believe some conversational narcissists are desperate to control the conversation because they’re terrified of veering into topics that could lead to shame or discomfort. They create an impenetrable wall of words to cower behind. Those of us who are truth tellers put their fear into overdrive, so we’re subjected to even more of their boring, nonstop yapping.
