Great response. I’d read the mean spirited Get a Grip post before, and unfollowed the author as a result. It’s your choice to share the link to it but it’s just providing that story even more traffic.

Unfortunately, this platform, like so many other social media platforms, rewards sour posts that stir up bickering (I won’t flatter petty online arguments by calling them “debates.”) and attempt to make the mundane controversial by way of broadside insults. The resulting reads, claps and comments encourage some writers to churn out even more churlish, lowbrow content. And then more writers imitate their approach.

It’s one thing to rail against social injustice, and quite another to rail against something as innocuous as the bare-face trend.
