Frampton Comes Alive was the soundtrack to my adolescence.

I saw him perform at a local casino in the 1990s. He was indeed incredible, self-effacing and charming. He wore a yellow T-shirt that read “Don’t ruin this with words.” The pretty-boy packaging foisted on him in the late 1970s may have severely undercut his legacy as a rock great.

Frampton’s enormous talent, serious musicianship, humility, and openness to collaboration remind me of Kevin Parker (Tame Impala).
